For Individuals ready to understand and move through obsessive attachment patterns

Move Out of Limerence and Into a Way of Relating That Feels Grounded, Self-trusting, and Real

Infatuation while in a relationship or marriage

You may have been content in your relationship, only to suddenly feel an intense and unexpected connection with someone else. What began as excitement or aliveness may now feel consuming, filled with obsessive thoughts, longing, and inner conflict about what to do. You may feel stuck between your values and what you’re experiencing.

Repeated cycles of intense attraction
(“new relationship energy”)

You may notice a pattern of feeling most alive at the beginning of relationships - drawn to the excitement, possibility, and emotional intensity. But over time, the feelings fade, and you’re left in a cycle of starting over, feeling hope, and then experiencing disappointment again.

Unrequited or unavailable love

You may feel deeply attached to someone who isn’t fully available or doesn’t return your feelings. Even when you try to move on or create distance, the thoughts and longing persist. It can feel painful, consuming, and difficult to imagine a future without them.

No matter which type of limerence you experience, you probably feel pulled toward someone in a way that feels intense and hard to control, while also knowing it isn’t actually possible. You’ve likely tried to think your way out of it, create distance, or regain control, only to find yourself pulled back in.

This work is about helping you understand what’s driving these patterns and giving you the tools and support to move through them, so you can feel more steady in yourself, more clear in your relationships, and more connected to your life.

A Deeper, More Holistic Approach That Helps You Create Real, Lasting Change - Not Just Temporary Relief

A grounded, supportive approach to working through limerence

I work with you to understand the underlying patterns driving your limerence, rather than just trying to manage or suppress the symptoms. Together, we explore attachment patterns, emotional responses, and the deeper dynamics that keep you feeling stuck, while also building practical tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

This is a collaborative process. You won’t be given a one-size-fits-all solution - instead, we tailor the work to your specific experience, moving at a pace that feels both supportive and effective.

Over time, this allows you to feel more grounded in yourself, less consumed by intrusive thoughts or emotional intensity, and more capable of connecting to meaning that is sustainable in your life.

Support to Help You Move Out of Limerence and Into a More Grounded, Self-Trusting Way of Relating

Whether you’re looking for deeper, one-on-one support or a more self-guided path, there are different ways to begin this work. Each option is designed to help you understand what’s driving your patterns, feel more steady in yourself, and create meaningful, lasting change in how you relate to others.

A Structured Path to Help You Move Through Limerence With Guidance, Tools, and Ongoing Support

If you’re experiencing limerence, you may feel caught in patterns that repeat - cycles of obsessive thoughts, emotional highs and lows, and a sense of being pulled toward something that’s difficult to fully understand or step away from. You may want to change, but feel unsure where to start or how to create lasting shifts on your own.

This program offers a structured, self-paced way to begin working through these patterns, while still feeling supported along the way. Inside the program, I guide you through a comprehensive framework designed to help you understand limerence at a deeper level - including the role of attachment, the nervous system, emotional processing, and the underlying dynamics that sustain the experience. You’ll have access to course material you can move through at your own pace, along with tools and practices to help you apply the work in your daily life.

In addition to the course, you’ll be part of a community of others navigating similar experiences, with the opportunity to ask questions and receive support. I also offer live group office hours twice a month, where you can bring what’s coming up and receive guidance in real time.

You’ll have lifetime access to the course content, with a 5-month container for community access and group support.

This option is ideal if you’re looking for a more flexible and accessible way to engage in this work, while still receiving structure, guidance, and connection.

Personalized Support to Help You Understand and Move Through Limerence

If you’re experiencing limerence, it can feel consuming. You may be struggling to focus on your
day-to-day activities, or simply wondering if there is something wrong with you. Perhaps you’re feeling shame around not being able to get them out of your head, guilt about the impact on the people in your life, and yet, also fear at the thought of letting them go and moving on.

This is where deeper, more personalized support can make a difference. In our one-on-one work, we focus on understanding the underlying patterns driving your limerence - including attachment dynamics, emotional triggers, and the ways your nervous system is responding. Alongside this deeper work, you’ll also learn practical tools to navigate intrusive thoughts, regulate emotional intensity, and begin shifting the patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

This work is collaborative and flexible. While many clients move through a 5-month structured framework designed to guide this process, there is no required long-term commitment - you’re free to move at your own pace. I also offer a 3-session exploratory phase, so you can get a sense of the work and ensure it feels like the right fit before continuing.

Over time, this work supports you in feeling more connected to yourself, less consumed by obsessive thoughts or emotional swings, and more capable of building relationships that feel stable, mutual, and real.

Sessions are offered at $185, with options to do weekly or biweekly.

KIND WORDS

“ I had been stuck in limerence for years before working with Sarah. I had tried other online resources, but they often made me actually feel worse about having a "limerent mind" because they often portrayed limerence as a mental illness. Sarah’s approach is active and practical - we did real work with exercises, tools, and reflection that helped me shift from obsession toward more self-reliance. I am so much better at meeting my own emotional needs and creating a more fulfilling life. I’ve also come to see that there are gifts in my limerence, such as passion, creativity, and depth, and I’ve learned how to relate to those parts of myself in a healthier way. Working with Sarah was truly inspiring. I no longer feel ashamed of this part of me.”

-K.G., former 1:1 coaching client

KIND WORDS

“Working with Sarah created space for deep personal growth. I learned so much, not just about limerence, but about myself and how to craft and create a life around the things that I need to feel fulfilled. I’ve shifted from living reactively to living with intention, and I experience a lot more consistent happiness as a result. I’m better able to give myself grace, communicate my needs, and understand my patterns. She has a gift for explaining complex ideas in a way that’s clea and accessible, and she brings so much compassion and presence to the work.”

What to Know Before Working Together

Questions you may have before getting starteR

What is your rate? Do you accept insurance?

Individual sessions are $185.

I am only a licensed therapist in the state of Washington. If you’re located in Washington, and would like to use out-of-network benefits, please find my services at www.reclaim-counseling.com. Insurance is not accepted for coaching services outside of Washington.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy is available to clients located in Washington and can include diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.

Coaching is available nationwide and focuses on working with patterns, behaviors, and personal growth outside of a medical framework. The structure of our work is often similar in both, but the format depends on your location and needs.

All sessions are held online via a secure platform. This allows for flexibility, privacy, and the ability to access support from wherever you are.

What approaches do you use?

My work integrates multiple approaches, including attachment-based work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic (body-based) practices, and neuroscience-informed tools.

This is meant to target the mental, emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and nervous system levels of limerence. I also draw from modalities like CBT (for intrusive thoughts) and addiction recovery literature - depending on what’s most helpful for your specific experience.

The goal is not just to manage symptoms, but to understand and shift the deeper patterns driving them.

How long will this take?

There isn’t a fixed timeline. Some people begin to notice shifts relatively quickly, while deeper patterns may take more time to work through.

The focus isn’t on rushing the process, but on creating meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels sustainable.
